Review of Lauren Alaina's Debut Album - Wildflower

Wildflower by Lauren Alaina was released today by 19 Records.

Review of  Wildflower  by Lauren Alaina

I got my copy early this morning. This twelve track album is a country hit .

Lauren Alaina came in 2nd place last year at the American Idol TV competition.  This 17 year old girl from Rossville, GA wowed the TV audience with songs like “Trouble”, “If I Die Young” , and “Unchained Melody”.

The album is a mix of country and pop like Taylor Swift, but Lauren Alaina has a sound of her own.

A couple standouts on the album for me were:

The Middle – a good song that talks about something we should all remember. “  Take each day and make it last, cause you turn around and the future is the past.. what matters is whats in the middle.”  Make the most of the time we have.

She's a Wildflower – a little country pop with some Mandolin and Dobro fun -  Sometimes you feel like that.  “A wildflower just waiting on the winds of change to blow.”  Wanting to grow up, but not quite there.

The Locket – a soft story ballad about a locket from a grandma to her granddaughter, and the story behind it.  Memories are important, we need take the time to know where we came from and stories of our past.  Our grandparents were our age once, take the time to hear their story. :)

Dirt Road Prayer – a soft finish to the album, as she goes through her prayer list from her grandparents to the boy she likes.  A nice way to end an album that talks about faith and life.

Like My Mother Does – This is my favorite song, because it reminds me of my mom.  My mom and I are so much alike, and she works so hard.  I look up to her and I want be like her someday . I love you mom :)

I recommend you get this album because it is a good albums for kids and adults to listen to. It talks about good stuff like God, spending time with your family.  knowing where you came from and knowing where your going.

This album is Spectacular.  I give it 5 Buckeyes  !!
