Announcing our new Christmas poetry contest.
Who: Contest is open to 3rd - 8th graders.
Prize: $25 Gift card to either GameStop or Justice !
Deadline: Poems must be submitted by Friday, December 16th. All votes must be submitted by Wednesday, December 21st. The top 5 vote getting poems will be announced, Friday, December 23rd. The winner will be announced December 28th!
Theme: Poem needs to be Christmas in Theme. The key phrase
"What Christmas means to me" needs to be used somewhere within the poem.
Requirements: Poems need to be at least three stanzas. At least three lines per stanza.
Form and genre can be any of your choosing as long as it fits the basic rules above.
As always, keep it PG in content, ie. No Swearing ect. It's a Christmas poem for goodness sake ;D
Winners : All approved poems will be posted on the website. Be sure to vote for your favorites by posting to the site, emailing kidsnewsohio@gmail.com , or tweeting us @kidsnewsohio . The Top 5 vote getting poems will be announced on Friday the 23rd of December. Our panel of judges will review and select a winner, who will be announced December 28th.
